One world open to all, two behind a free croft key, and each rule spelled out.
Puffin Ledge is open to everyone: spin it on the home page or on its own page with free play coins. There is no name, email or password to give and nothing to tick.
Purl and Peat and Simmer Dim Sail need a free account. The form has four parts and no more: nickname, email address, password and a tick to say you are 18 or over. No card, address or phone number is asked for, since the island sells nothing. Why have an account? So your coins and progress wait for your return, and so the games stay with adults. A single button on your account page deletes it and all it holds.
Your creel starts with 100,000 free coins, plus whatever Puffin Ledge paid out on the same device. One balance, one level and one mission list carry on through each of the three worlds. These coins are virtual. Buying, selling, withdrawing or exchanging them is impossible, and no win has real-world value.
The island has no in-app purchases and not a single payment page.
All worlds use five reels and three rows. Wins run left to right from reel one across neighbouring reels, along fixed paylines. Your stake is divided evenly over the lines; paytable values are multiples of the line bet, except the scatter, which pays on the total stake. Only the top win on any line is paid.
| Round on the croft | How the round works | Where on the island |
|---|---|---|
| Tumbling reels | A win clears its symbols, the others slide down and new symbols drop from above. Each further win in the chain pays more: x1 on the spin, then x2, x3, and x5 for every tumble after that. | |
| A free-spin multiplier that climbs the hill | Inside free spins the multiplier goes up as the round continues, and it never comes down until the round is over. | |
| Wilds that stick like burrs for a respin | A paid spin with no win but a wild in view holds each wild where it is and respins the remaining grid at no cost. | Purl and Peat |
| Last-reel respin | A paid spin with no win and two scatters gives the fifth reel one more free turn in search of a third scatter. | Simmer Dim Sail |
| Free spins paying double on the cliffs | The most straightforward bonus here: land three scatters for free spins, where each win is paid at double. | Puffin Ledge |
A fixed strip of symbols sits on each reel. On every spin the random number generator in your browser selects an independent position on each strip. Earlier spins have no influence on later ones, and nothing shifts according to your balance or how long you have played.
We measure the return, hit frequency and feature frequency of each world by running its own code for millions of spins, and print them in its paytable. They relate only to coin play in these free games and tell you nothing about any real-money game.
Only adults aged 18 or over belong on Shetland Pony Isle. All of its games use virtual coins of no monetary value, which nobody can buy, sell, withdraw or exchange. The island has no coin shop and no payment page at all, no prize of real-world value is ever offered, and success on these reels does not imply future success at real-money gambling.
