A game on the croft, and only a game

Why adults only, though it is free

Social casino games share the look, sound and pacing of real gambling. For that reason Shetland Pony Isle is intended only for adults over the legal gambling age and is not directed at anyone under 18. We confirm age twice: through the banner shown when you arrive, and through a tick you must give when creating an account.

Promises Peerie keeps

• No offering or promoting of real-money gambling on the island.
• No prizes of real-world value from the croft.
• No coin sales over the croft dyke and no in-app purchases.
• No ferry links to gambling operators or affiliates.
• No countdowns or streaks built to pull you back.

Something to bear in mind

Free games can be made to feel generous, and they refill your balance at no cost. Real-money games do neither of these. However well you do here, it shows nothing about how you would get on with money at stake.

Signs to watch for, like weather over the voe

• Sessions running well past the time you set, like a midsummer night that never darkens.
• Irritation whenever you have to stop.
• Using the reels to get away from a low mood.
• Play that cuts into sleep, work or the people around you.
• Catching yourself searching beyond the island for a real-money version.

Keeping a hand on the halter

• Before you start, settle how long you will play.
• Do without autoplay.
• Break off regularly for a walk on the headland.
• Clearing this site’s data resets the lot; blocking the site in your device settings stops it for good, should you want that.
